A villa or dream house located in Shek-O, Hong Kong. a historic fishing village in the southeast corner of Hong Kong Island. Rich appointed interior that uses both the original and teak wood imported from the Pacific Northwest. Entertaining and private living space at a single level, and garages, maid’s room and other support space occupying a lower level, tucked into the sloping site. (Interiors designed by Olson Kundig Architect and Photos by Benjamin Benschneider). He took full advantage of the surrounding landscape with a large expanse of glass that open to views in all directions. Strong horizontal lines extending from the building to the landscape, creating a large covered terrace protected from the semi-tropical climate. There are also many features that make modern and stylish home, for example: the transition between indoors and outdoors is fine, right angle, a simple form and so forth.
