Stone Palette Contributes to Chic Hospitality Design
The 505,000-square-foot hotel called for $14.5 million worth of stone that was supplied by Ciot Tecnica of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and fabricated and installed by Italbec U.S. of Dania Beach, FL. “In cooperation with Yabu Pushelberg, the world renowned interior design firm, and Costas Kondylis of New York, the team has created a state-of-the-art, avant-garde guest experience,” according to a statement released by NBWW & Associates, Inc. of Coral Gables, FL, which served as the architectural firm for the project. “NBWW was charged with providing flagship level detailing for the W Hotel brand,” said Bruce Brosch, NBWW Partner and Project Architect for the W Hotel in Miami. “The owner representation was intimately involved in all selection processes.” Stone is featured in the main hotel spaces, including the lobby areas, restaurant, nightclub, bar and lounges. Additionally, the flooring, walls and vanity tops in the bathrooms of the guestrooms and suites were designed with a range of stone products. |
