Foster & Partners has completed the McLaren Production Centre on the outskirts of London.

The 34,500sq m building, in Woking, Surrey, is the practice’s second at the site, and will be used to manufacture high-performance road cars.

The two buildings will be connected by an underground walkway lined with exhibition spaces.

The roof canopy is supported by a series of slender columns based on a standard grid with repeated components, and services are integrated with the painted steel structure.
