MVRDV has unveiled proposals for the Flowerbed Hotel in Aalsmeer in the Netherlands.

The 19,500sq m hotel and conference centre is entirely devoted to flowers and will be located beside the future Bloomin’ Holland theme park.

It is composed of a series of stacked volumes inside a greenhouse and will have 280 rooms — each with a floral theme — and 2,100sq m of flower beds.

The hotel lobby will also feature a public flower garden.
