Aedas has made 20 people redundant from its Hong Kong office following a restructuring.

The firm employs around 750 people at its site in the Quarry Bay area. Chief executive David Roberts, who is based in Hong Kong, said the cuts had been made “in response to the needs and workload of the Hong Kong, China and Asia markets”.

He added: “Management has done its best to keep these to a minimum.”

The firm also has China offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang and Chengdu.
