Zaha Hadid Architects has drawn up detailed designs for the first phase of its Bratislava Culenova New City Centre project in Slovakia.

The practice won a competition to design a masterplan for the area in 2010, and is now working on a 115m-tall tower and a restaurant.

Further phases will include another office tower, residential towers and the renovation of a decommissioned coal-fire powerstation into an art gallery.

The model of the phase one tower is on display until March 8 at the AIT Architektur Salon in Cologne, Germany, as part of the practices’ Parametric Tower Research exhibition.
