The RIBA has announced the 20 small and medium-sized practices it is taking to Mipim next week.

They are AndArchitects, Astudio, Baca, B and R Architects, Cartwright Pickard, Child Graddon Lewis, GS-CA, Henley Halebrown Rorrison, HÛT, Jane Duncan Architects, Mackenzie Wheeler, Matthew Lloyd Architects, Mossessian and partners, Moxon, Nick Willson Architects, PCKO, Platform 5, RCKa, Sutton Griffin, and Tweedale.

Around half the practices have never been to Mipim before, while the others are veterans of RIBA’s previous two shared stands at the vast international property fair held in Cannes.

The stand, in the London pavilion, will give a base and a presence to practices that couldn’t otherwise afford to exhibit at the show, which runs from March 6 to 9.

All 20 will also take part in a pecha kucha in which they have one minute and six slides to demonstrate why a client should hire them.

RIBA London director Tamsie Thomson said: “We are delighted to be able to help our members win new business opportunities at Mipim.”

As well as supporting the practices involved, she said the RIBA wanted to promote the value of investing in good design.
