A 29-year-old architect from London has been revealed as one of this year’s hopefuls to become Alan Sugar’s apprentice.

Gabrielle Omar will be competing against fifteen other candidates when the show returns for its eight series on March 21.

Omar is director at Lolli and Square, the practice she set up in May 2010. She said: “When it comes to business I can be like an animal and I will roar my way to the top.”

According to the practice’s brochure, Lolli and Square has undertaken projects including a proposal for the Museum of Art and Culture in Egypt.

The brochure says: “We want to exist to make unique design projects happen, and to make what you desire a product of iconic stature.”

“Lolli is soon becoming a new prestigious and successful brand. A new fashion house with a twist, the twist being its fashion is architecture and design consultancy.”

Omar gained her part III architecture qualification from Westminster University in 2009.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she established her first practice in 2010, focusing on renovations and interior design, before opening Lolli and Square two months later.

She is also creative director at We Be 3, a design agency she founded in 2011.
