Perring Architecture & Design has revealed images of a Passivhaus project currently being built in the New Forest.

The five-bedroom house will be built to Code for Sustainable Homes level five using materials including recycled newspaper insulation, lime render and a Welsh slate roof.

Windows will be triple glazed and timber cladding will be made from locally sourced Douglas Fir. Purbeck stone will be used for floors.

The building will generate 3.8kw using photovoltaic panels and use a pellet boiler as back-up and to heat water. A rainwater harvesting system will supply the toilets and washing machine.

Completion is expected in November.
