Durability
Natural stone is in fact, the oldest building material on earth.  From the pyramids in Egypt, the Acropolis in Athens, and the numerous forts and castles that dot the globe, stone has been a prestigious material to use.  It is also perhaps the most durable building material ever known to mankind.

Granite is known to be extremely hygienic when compared to other countertop materials.  Its resistance to bacteria is much higher when compared to alternative surfaces.
