Sandstone is composed of rocks and sand sized minerals and it is a sedimentary rock. Common colors are tan, brown, yellow, red, gray and white and it is composed of quartz and feldspar mostly. It is originated mostly of sand and it's between 1/16 millimeter and 2 mm in size.

Sand stone consists of two different type material matrix and cement. Matrix is the fine grained stuff along with the sand whereas cement is the mineral matter. If sandstone consists large amount of matrix called poorly sorted (called wacky). If sandstone consists little amount of cement, it is called well sorted and arenite. And in other terms wacky is dirty and arenite is clean.

Black stone can found in areas of chambal at Madhya Pradesh. Its color variation is medium and texture is rough.

Budhpura Grey Sandstone

Buff Sandstone

Brown and pinkish are available colors, its variation is high and texture is rough.

Camel Dust Sandstone

It is also known as Camel sandstone and Brown sandstone. Brown and camel colors are available, its variation is medium and texture is rough.

Fossil Sandstone

It is also known as Mint Fossil Sandstone and Tint Min Sandstone. It is available in creamy green color. Its color variation is medium and texture is rough.

Modak Sandstone

It is known as Modak Rose Sandstone. It is available in light pink and yellow tones. Its color variation is high and texture is rough.

Rainbow Sandstone

It is available in various colors. Its variation is medium and texture is sawn finish.

Rajpura Green Sandstone

It is also called as Raj Green Sandstone. It is available in brown with greenish tone and green in color.

Red Mandana Sandstone

It is also known as Mandana Red Sandstone. Blood red color is available only. Its color variation is less and texture is rough.

Teak Sandstone

It is also called as teakwood sandstone. Its color is brown with occasional yellowish tones. Its color variation is medium and texture is sawn finish.

Agra Red Sandstone

It is also called as Dholpur Red Sandstone. Its available color is Beige and Red. Color variation is less and texture is rough.

Dholpur Beige Sandstone

It is also known as Dholpur Biege Flagstone. Beige and Light Pink colors are available. Its color variation is less and texture is rough.
