Marble makes a beautiful accent anywhere in the home, but makes a big impact when used as flooring. Take care of your marble floor much as you would any other marble surface in your home. It is imperative to use preventative measures when it comes to maintaining your marble floors, along with using the proper cleaning methods and formulations. With care, your marble floors should retain their good looks for many years to come.

Spray a dust mop with anti-static spray. Run the dust mop over the entire surface of the marble floor to remove dust and small debris.

Fill a bucket with clean, warm water. Do not add any cleaner to the bucket. Dip the sponge mop into the water and wring out so that the mop is slightly damp but not overly wet. Run the mop over the entire marble floor. Empty out the bucket and replace the water with clean, warm water and repeat the process.

Buff the surface of the marble floor dry with either paper towels or terry cloth towels. Remove all traces of water and polish until you get a nice shine.
