![]() Many of the most striking slabs seen in our warehouses are quartzite. The amazing range of color and patterns generally leave visitors asking “Is that really naturally that color?” Louise Blue, Mont Blanc, and Nakarado all intrigue and puzzle designers and staff alike. Mother Earth must have been in a jubilant mood when these stones were imagined. Hard, dense, and extremely abrasion and chemical resistant, quartzite is a metamorphic stone where quartz grains originally belonging to sandstone have recrystallized. Generally quartzite is appropriate for any type of application, including kitchen countertops. A few varieties of quartzite are available in tile as well, with the same durable qualities. |
